Nicole Kidman as Lady Ashley is going to redeem her legacy in OZ, a faraway land. Then she met Hugh Jackman as Drover. He help Lady Ashley to deliver cattle herd from a faraway land to Darwin. They shared lost of happening while the delivery. They fell in love for each other. Lady Ashley realized that she's falling in love with OZ too.

Lots of beautiful scenery here supported with Mrs Urban and Mr Jackman's acts. But for me the plot is too long. I can get bored easily.

For me, it's not the movie that I wanted to watch in theater.

But I do love Hugh Jackman riding a horse. Yihaaaaa.

Inkheart

New movie from Brendan Fraser, he played as a silvertounge, a man that can brought the character in books out with read them out loud. But he never realized until his wife brought into the books over the book character.

He has to find the Inkheart book, he needs to bring his wife back with change one of the character in reality life.

Helen Mirren also starred in this movie together with Paul Bettany.

This movie is for family. We will do everything just to make our family is whole as one.

Crossing Over

The US offers hope--but that often comes at a price

Satu tag dari film "Crossing Over". Menceritakan tentang betapa susahnya menjadi warga negara USA dam bekerja disana. Segala cara ditempuh entah itu jujur ato tidak, free or not. Hanya untuk memperoleh sebuah kewarganegaraan, tidak hanya uang yang hilang, namun juga harga diri dan hancurnya sebuah hubungan atau ikatan.

Banyak karakter yang terlibat, yang mana sebelumnya mereka saling tidak mengenal satu sama lain. Harrison Ford sebagai polisi imigrasi yang khawatir dengan pekerja ilegal dari Meksiko. Ashley Jude seorang pengacara imigrasi yang mencintai seorang anak dari Namibia yang luntang lantung di USA dan ditampung di tempat imigrasi, yang tidak layak tuk anak kecil. Ray Liota seorang pegawai di kantor imigrasi yang mampu tuk meloloskan seseorang tuk mendapatkan green card, jatuh cinta terhadap seorang imigran dari Australia yang bersedia menjadi wanita panggilan hanya tuk green card. Seorang anak dari Arab yang dianggap sebagai teroris dan harus dideportasi.

"Ngenes" itu yang dapat dari film ini.

Righteous Kill

Ini film terbaru dari Robert De Niro and Al Pacino setelah Godfather. Ini film udah lama release di Amrik sono, taon 2008, tapi di Surabaya baru midnight. Wow.

Cerita tentang 2 polisi veteran di NYPD. Sedang mencari pembunuh berantai yang selalu meninggalkan puisi. Serial killer ini mempunyai MO dan korban2 yang sama, semua penjahat2 yang bebas dari jeratan hukum.

Jon Avnet as the director, benar-benar mempermainkan kita sejak awal. Plot dibikin sedemikian rupa yang membuat kita merasa bahwa kita telah mengetahui pembunuh yang sebenarnya.

Banyak actor and artis terkenal yang bermain di film ini. Memang keliatan sekali De Niro dan Pacino sudah tua tapi mereka masih punya karisma. Tidak kalah dengan aktor2 muda lainnya. Benar2 aktor watak yang sangat bagus.

Memang tidak terlalu banyak action di film ini, tetapi setidaknya saya cukup menikmati akting De Niro and Al Pacino.

Star Trek

This is the movie that I've been waiting for so long. Since all the casts are new generation. Also there is Zachary Quinto, a man that played Sylar in Heroes serial, he playes as Spock *woohoo*

Start with James T Kirk's father is being an acting captain for only 2 minutes since the USS Enterprise is being attacked by Nero. Kirk is entering Starfleet Academy just to be captain in USS Enterprise. He met lots of people and made friends except with Spock. Kirk and Spock is like 2 of different kind.

Then Nero is attacking again and destroyed Spock's planet and killed his mom. But Spock didn't have intention for revenge and he had an argument with Kirk. It ended with Kirk was being kicked from the USS. But this made Kirk had a meeting with future Spock. He told Kirk all what happen and advice him to go back to USS and fight against Nero, since it's the only way.

Love the atmosphere that JJ Abrams brought for this new Star Trek. For me he did it great. Also new cast is bring a new hype for Star Trek.

So ... enjoy the movie and do some nostalgia with them

Street Fighter : The Legend of Chun Li

Never enjoy movies based on video games. BIG NO.

This time, the movie is telling us about Chun Li, her life, her parents and her revenge.

The movie was setting in Bangkok, not beautiful scene for movie, hate it. The story line is flat (but I still can enjoy the movie). The actions were not much as I expected.

But I love Kristin Kreuk, she really can play her role as Chun Li very good (even there's a doubt at the beginning). But she can erase her image as Lana Lang in this movie, so .... you go girl.

Also lots of not-so-important scenes on the movie.

So ..... do not put high expectation for this movie.

Terminator Salvation

Finally .... takes time to write down the review, bisa jadi orang-orang udah pada ga perlu review film satu ini. Tapi boleh dong, I share my point of view from this movie.

Let's the party start ...

Seperti biasa, aku menghabiskan waktu kencan dengan nonton film-film yang lagi beredar, entah itu action, drama or komedi, tapi harus western movies (I'm not in to Indonesian movies).

Tapi untuk Terminator Salvation, aku emang udah dari dulu nunggu secara ini film terbaru dari franchise film terlaris sepanjang jaman, Terminator, Terminator 2: The Judgment Day and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machine.

Dibuka dengan setting taon sekarang, ada seorang pembunuh yang akan dihukum mati. Tiba-tiba setting berpindah ke masa depan, dengan John Connor sedang dalam misi penyelamatan. John menemukan cara baru tuk menghabisi Skynet dan menyelamatkan umat manusia, namun John perlu menemukan Kyle Reese sebelum dihabisi oleh Skynet. Karena tidak ada Kyle Reese, maka tidak ada John Connor. John dibantu oleh Marcus Wright, pembunuh yang ternyata masih hidup di masa depan, misterius emang secara dia seharusnya mati ato at least tua.

Klimaks dari film ini saat ditemukan fakta kalo Marcus adalah cyborg, keseluruhan dari dirinya adalah robot. Marcus hanya mempunyai hati manusia. Marcus memang diciptakan tuk menyusup kedalam kelompok John Connor.

Nice movie with lots of actions, tapi hal ini membuat ceritanya tidak terlalu menggigit, jadi agak sedikit kecewa. But I do enjoy the movie. Skynet hancur beserta robot2nya, John selamat dan hidup, juga dengan Kyle.

Sebagai finale of Terminator, seharusnya ada klimaks yang lebih bagus daripada kemaren. But mungkin ada terminator-terminator yang laen (hopefully not)

Night at Museum 2 : Battle at The Smithsonian

Enjoy the movie but not that excited. Put quite high expectation in this sequel. I expected it would be funnier. Not that funny *sigh*

After Larey Daley resigned as a museum guard, he owns invention company. Seems like he doesn't happy with it.

One day, he visit National History Museum and found out that some of them will be moved to New York Museum, The Smithsonian.

Larey found his own happiness key : work something that you love with someone you love.

Same old story, not as a complex as the first one but lots of new characters. They can be a quite refreshing for the boring plot lines.

Since it's a family movie, so we can't expect much. As long as your children enjoy and laugh together with their friend, so I guess this movie is quite entertaining.

Overall : if you had lots of stress at work, or with your study, just call your friends and go together watch this movie.

Angels and Demons

Finally, ada film bagus juga yang lagi maen di Surabaya, setelah beberapa minggu kering kerontang.

Ga pake nunggu lama, kita nonton pas premier, dah ga tahan soalnya.

Sebenarnya sih agak takut ga ngeh sama filmnya, karna pas Da Vinci Code (sampe sekarang) aku masih ga ngeh. Tapi dengan bimbingan Yohan (emang sapa dia) aku mengerti semua seluruh jalan cerita *wakakakakakaka*.

Robert Langdon dipanggil oleh pihak Vatican tuk menemukan 4 kardinal calon kuat menjadi Paus. Robert diminta membantu karena terdapat video ancaman yang disertai dengan sebuah simbol. Simbol itu dikenali sebagai Illuminati, sebuah kelompok rahasia bawah tanah yang mempunyai dendam terhadap Gereja Katolik Roma.

Robert membantu dengan mengerahkan semua yang dia ketahui tentang simbol dan Illuminati tuk menyelamatkan 4 kardinal dan Roma dari kehancuran.

Disini Tom Hanks and Ewan Mcgregor (as Camerlenggo) main sangat bagus sekali, especially Ewan, he really got the looks.

Alur cerita meski agak cepat, masih bisa diikuti and at least aku masih bisa ngeh (tidak serumi Da Vinci Code).

Begitu banyak scenery yang bisa kita liat disini, maen2 dibanyak gereja dan makam, kembali teringat dengan pelajaran agama waktu sekolah (wakakakaka)

Banyak hal yang bisa aku pelajari dalam film ini, banyak juga pengetahuan-pengetahuan agama yang aku dapat waktu sekolah dulu.

Film ini fiksi dan sebagai manusia yang pintar, tentu kita bisa memilah-milah yang mana yang harus dicerna sebagai fiksi dan yang mana tidak.

Overall, luv this film.

X-Men Origins - Wolverine

Pertama kali tau bakal ada film tentang Wolverine tok, aku udah excited. Can't hardly wait to watch the movie.

Ceritanya mulai dari Wolverine kecil, petualangan-petualangan dia dengan Victor Creed, his brother (he's the one will be Sabretooth) sampai bagaimana dia mendapatkan logam di dalam tubuhnya.

Waktu pertama kali Logan ngeluarin his claw, it's his bone *ouch* karena dia belum mendapatkan adamatium *bener ga ya*.

Aku suka sekali dengan alur yang diberikan, secara teratur mengalir dan memberikan penjelasan satu persatu yang mulai masuk akal. Juga terdapat mutan-mutan muda yang belum tergabung dalam X-Men. Lebih banyak mutan2 unfamiliar disini, seperti Remy LeBeau a.k.a Gambit, Wade Wilson a.k.a Deadpool, Kayla a.k.a Silver Fox, Wraith and Emma Frost.

Aksi yang ditawarkan juga tidak mengecewakan, Logan bener2 masih dalam tahap mencari jati diri. Masih bener2 liar. Aksi2 Wolverine lebih di explore di film ini. My fav scene adalah saat Logan melompat dari truk ke helikopter. Nice move.

Overall, this movie is good to watch, especially for Wolverine's lovers. You MUST see this movie. I warn you!

Knowing - Nicolas Cage the newest movie

I used to know little bit infos of the movies I would like to watch. But for Knowing, I had no idea (since I wasn't planning to watch it). All I know is Nicolas Cage starred this movie.

I don't know is it thriller, action or horror. But I have to prepare my heart since I will be shock and scared to death if Knowing is horror. I hate horror movies. But I guess Mr Cage never plays in horror movie (based on my experiences).

Knowing is telling us about doomed day (this topic is booming lately, do we have to prepare ourselves?). A little girl from 1959 wrote down lots of numbers in her assignment paper. Looks like those are dates and victim amount from disaster that happens lately. Mr Cage is trying to solve that and save his family in the same time.

I do like the thrill but I don't like the ending. For me it doesn't make sense. But Yohan told me that this movie is like Noah's Ark and they are angels, instead of aliens.

Just watch the movie and tell me about your opinion.

The Shinjuku Incident

Quite surprised when I read newspaper. "The Shinjuku Incident : BESOK PREMIERE". Since there's no advs about it. It's the lastest of Jacky Chan's.

Tidak seantusias liat seperti film-film Jacky yang lain, karena ga ada informasi sama sekali tentang ini. Ga ada iklan juga, kesannya ada yang disembunyikan. Well, so what?! Yang penting nonton dulu, bagus ato ga, worthed ato ga, itu urusan entar.

From the beginning until the end, my heart's beating fast. Since the plots were going slow and increase my curiousity. I was expected to see Jacky with his kungfu skill but I couldn't find it here. But still the movie feels "Jacky" *keras gitu lho*

It tells us about the Yakuza and Triad. It's kinda different from Young and Dangerous *yang ada Ekin Cheng e* This movie is darker and heavier.

It seems that everyone can change just because of the money and power. But we cannot just close our eyes and say we do not need money. We DO need money but maybe not that greedy.

Overall, I like this movie. Sarat makna *ga ngerti inggris e*.

HIDUP ITU KERAS, KITA YANG MEMILIH, JALAN GAMPANG ATO JALAN SUSAH. AND AFTER MAKE DECISION WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENSES.

Dragon Balls - Evolution

It's been a long time since I watched this movie. Dunno why but I don't have the moods to review.

For me, it's totally for kids (except the kissing scenes). Also I wasn't that familiar with Dragonballs-things. I'm not the fan. So I just sit back and enjoy.

From the beginning I wasn't too excited since I had a little faith in visualizing comics to real action movie. But they tried to give us a good entertainment with special effects.

The story is flat for me. Nothing special. But still I can follow and found out something.

Only Chow Yun Fat can bring this movie quite high. He's such a great actor. I also can explore the other of Emmy Rossum in this movie. For me, she's soft-typical actress *based on her movies*.

Overall, all I can say is just sit back, enjoy and don't hope too much.
